Veterans

Many soldiers were conscripted into the Mendevian army long before the beginning of the Fifth Crusade. A group of distinguished veterans, well along in years, suffering from their wounds and the burden of their age, is asking to be relieved from their service and sent home — after all, they have already fulfilled their duty to the homeland. The officers, however, are adamantly opposed to releasing the most experienced and skilled warriors from the army.
