Paladin
Hit die D10
Paladins serve as beacons for their allies within the chaos of battle. While deadly opponents of evil, they can also empower goodly souls to aid in their crusades. Their magic and martial skills also make them well suited to defending others and blessing the fallen with the strength to continue fighting.

Martyr
Every paladin's code instructs him to put the welfare of others before his own, but some paladins take this farther than most, shouldering the direst suffering of the world onto themselves in order to help others and inspiring their allies to achieve heights of valor rather than seeking the glory for themselves.
