The mythic path system: unlocks, ranks, and merged spellbooks

Measured from the client's own blueprints — logic/mythic-path-unlocks.jsonl (20 unlock events) and logic/mythic-path-abilities.jsonl (15 mythic classes) — build 20212986, patch 2.7.0x.

Wrath of the Righteous lets your character ascend to ten playable mythic paths. The data shows exactly how the machine wires them: unlock events, per-rank feature tracks, and — for two paths — a spellbook merge that changes how casting works for the rest of the game.

Ten playable paths, twenty unlock events

The dump contains 20 BlueprintMythicInfo unlock events for ten paths — every path ships two: an XUnlocked event and a PlayerIsX event (the re-check used when a save is loaded or a path is re-confirmed). The mapping from event to class is a string convention, not a reference — which is why two paths need aliasing in any dataset that joins them:

| Unlock event | Mythic class | |---|---| | AeonUnlocked / PlayerIsAeon | AeonMythicClass | | AngelUnlocked / PlayerIsAngel | AngelMythicClass | | AzataUnlocked / PlayerIsAzata | AzataMythicClass | | DemonUnlocked / PlayerIsDemon | DemonMythicClass | | DevilUnlocked / PlayerIsDevil | DevilMythicClass | | LichUnlocked / PlayerIsLich | LichMythicClass | | TricksterUnlocked / PlayerIsTrickster | TricksterMythicClass | | DragonUnlocked / PlayerIsDragon | GoldenDragonClass (alias) | | LocustUnlocked / PlayerIsLocust | SwarmThatWalksClass (alias) | | LegendUnlocked / PlayerIsLegend | LegendClass |

The dump contains 15 classes wearing the mythic label; the other five are infrastructure, not paths: MonsterMythicClass (enemy mythic tiers), MythicCompanionClass, MythicStartingClass (the rank-0 shared track), MythicShardsClass, and FakeLegendClass.

Ranks are a progression, not a table

Each path's rank features live in its class progression — the same structure mortal classes use. Ranks do not arrive every level: the tracks skip levels by design (e.g. the shared starting track grants features at levels 1, 2, 3, and 5). Progression-table features run to rank 8 for aeon, angel, azata, demon, lich, and trickster, rank 3 for devil, dragon, and swarm-that-walks, and rank 1 for legend — no extracted blueprint carries progression rows beyond that. Every rank's features are listed per path on our Mythic Paths explorer, straight from the progression entries (relations/class-progressions.json).

Merged spellbooks: Angel and Lich only

Of the ten paths, exactly two merge with your mortal spellcasting:

  • Angel — merged list carries 53 mythic spells; the merged list starts producing spells at mythic rank 3.
  • Lich — the largest mythic list in the game: 103 spells.

Both lists expand per level in our data (site/data/tools/ mythic-spelllists.json) and render on the planner when you pick the path. The remaining paths carry their own abilities without touching your base spellbook — Devil, notably, has 17 features and zero spells: its power budget is entirely in abilities.

What each path is worth, by the numbers

Playable-path feature and spell counts (features include rank-granted and choice-granted entries):

| Path | Features | Spells | |---|---:|---:| | Angel | 22 | 53 | | Azata | 25 | 62 | | Demon | 24 | 43 | | Devil | 17 | 0 | | Golden Dragon | 57 | 28 | | Lich | 27 | 103 | | Legend | 10 | 0 | | Swarm That Walks | 25 | 0 | | Trickster | 19 | 45 | | Aeon | 31 | 82 |

Legend's small count is honest: its design is "your mortal classes, doubled up" — the path deliberately adds few mythic features. Golden Dragon's large count includes the dragon-form ability tree.
