At 9th level, as a free action, the bladebound magus can spend 1 point from his arcane pool to change the type of all damage dealt by him using the black blade or damage dealt by the black blade by itself to one of the following types: cold, electricity, or fire. He can spend 2 points from his arcane pool to change the damage type to sonic or force. This effect lasts until the start of the magus's next turn.
