Feats

At 1st level, when a defender of the hearth uses a heavy or tower shield, the damage of the first successful attack against him in a round is reduced by 20%. At 5th level, the first and the second attacks are affected. The number of consecutive attacks affected increases by 1 for every 5 defender levels thereafter (up to a maximum of 5 at 20th level).
