The shard takes only half damage from attacks that hit an area. When hit by such an attack, the shard deals 1d10 + Charisma modifier cold damage to the attacker. Whenever a creature attacks the shard with a melee weapon, Sithhud makes a trip combat maneuver against that creature as a free action.
