Arvoz feeds on the soul energy of those he destroys. Whenever Arvoz kills a living creature, he gains a number of charges of soul ward equal to the slain creature's level. When Arvoz's hit points would be reduced to 0 or less, a charge of soul ward is expended and his hit points are instead reduced to 1.
