This island is affected by a magical undertow flowing beneath it. This island is plagued by intense heat. The DC of all spells with fire descriptor is increased by 2, and all ranged attacks deal an additional 2d6 fire damage on hit. In addition, creatures without immunity to fire (including temporary immunity granted by effects such as a protection from energy spell) take damage whenever they cast a spell, and all medium and heavy armor they are wearing is red-hot, dealing damage to them each round. Finally, pools of lava can be found on the island — a creature that steps into them takes 20d6 fire damage (a successful DC 40 Fortitude save reduces the damage by half).
