The Kineticist, dissected: 800 blueprints of pure damage

Counted from the client's own Kineticist blueprint dump — all 800 rows under Classes/Kineticist/ — plus the ability-effects census — build 20212986, patch 2.7.0x.

The verb taxonomy showed WotR is a status-effect game: buffs outnumber damage 2.5 to 1. The Kineticist is the class built to break that rule — its abilities flip the ratio entirely.

The inverse profile

Across its 269 wired abilities: 285 damage actions vs just 41 buffs. Where the game at large spends its blueprint budget on states, the Kineticist spends it on raw DealDamage — by volume, it is the dedicated damage class.

The anatomy

800 blueprints break down as:

| Type | Count | |---|---:| | Abilities | 233 | | Features | 174 | | Buffs | 152 | | Activatable abilities | 73 | | Progressions | 41 |

And structurally:

  • Composite blasts: 184 — the combined-element attacks that make up most of the blast menu.
  • Infusions: 135 (71 form infusions + 64 substance infusions) — the modifiers you burn to reshape a blast.
  • Elements are selected, not hardcoded: first/second/third element selections over Air, Earth, Fire, and Water each ship their own progression scaffolding.

Burn is literally uncapped

The resource census found one pool capped at 999,999: Energy. Burn has no ceiling in data because the real limit is your own hit points — the class pays for infusions in HP, and the engine never says when to stop. You do.

Seven archetypes

KineticSharpshooter (61 blueprints), Psychokineticist (37), ElementalEngine (23), KineticKnight (16), DarkElementalist (13), OverwhelmingSoul (10), BloodKineticist (7). Even the "small" archetypes outweigh most classes' entire feature sets — this class ships with more content than some subsystems.
