Any environment, when faced with a void, will seek to fill it. Such is the law of nature — the law of the cosmos, in fact. Which is why a wise ruler endeavors never to leave their capital for long — the throne stands empty in the absence of its sovereign, and this sight alone is enough to tempt ambitious subjects. The Commander has surrounded {mf|himself|herself} with insufficiently loyal servants who have taken advantage of their {mf|master's|mistress's} absence to start a feud. Instead of serving the Commander, {mf|his|her} undead soldiers are being destroyed in a pointless quarrel. The strife must end.
